Dean and Steve feel and live the love everyday. Meeting these two incredible human beings and photographing their Gay Engagement Session in London was completely awesome. A trip that only love can take us thru.
Love can be felt in many different ways, go in countless directions, make you laugh, cry, forgive, thank, kiss, hug and simply feel. This is how we want to make photography, with these beautiful and genuine emotions. We see thru our camera but most of all, we feel with our hearts.
The Meeting! – Gay Engagement Session in London
We were going to travel to London in two days and I, Pedro, was worried because we hadn’t been contacted by the website for a while. I investigated inside the website if a problem could be happening. And it was.
It was there that we found Dean’s message request to photograph their Wedding in Porto, where we live. It had already been two days since he sent the message and so we responded a little hopelessly, since we usually don’t take long to answer requests.
Dean answered us very soon and we asked if we could arrange a video call, asking for his time zone, since we didn’t know which country he was from. He replied that it was London time zone.
When I read the email, I got goosebumps because we were going to London, we were at the airport! Can you believe?
We have already responded by saying that it would be incredible to photograph them and that we could meet in person to talk about their wedding in Porto. Even though they had to score very quickly, in a few days we met!
Gay Engagement Session in London – Connecting with the couple
We always managed to find in the couple that we photographed the reason for the meeting. It is almost like fulfilling a purpose in their lives and they fulfill a purpose in ours. And the connection always happens because we identify ourselves, without a doubt we identify ourselves with these two!
Dean is very similar to Nathalia, intuitive, sensitive, smiling, easy to talk to, affectionate. As soon as we met, in a few minutes they were already talking as if they had been friends for a long time.
I saw myself in Steve, an exact person, very playful, a little contained in showing feelings. But when he looks into Dean’s eyes, everything changes, it’s an explosion of sensitivity, affection, lovingness. It happens a lot to me and Nathalia, I can feel more, live more emotions when I’m with her.
We can see the balance that a relationship needs to have. We also feel that balance as ours.
Saint Dunstan in the East Church Garden – LGBTQ Engagement Session in London
We started shooting at Saint Dunstan in the East Church Garden, an incredible place, it is an old church construction that today is in ruins. It’s like an escape among the big buildings.
In addition to the ruins, what caught our attention was the fact that there was no external interference and with that the vegetation continued to grow, giving an even more rustic look to that whole area of the city of London.
Saint Dunstan is an incredible place to visit, to take time out of the chaos of the city, it has a place to sit and take your Meal Deal and rest from the walks that take you through the city of London, for those who are hunters of ruins like Evelyn and Mike at their Wedding in Ireland, it’s perfect and to photograph, wonderful!
A Romantic Walk Through Tower Bridge – Must go! with your person
Many people confuse the London Bridge tower with the Tower bridge. Historically London Bridge is more important and older than Tower Bridge, but Tower Bridge is the most beautiful. A tourist spot you must go in London.
In addition, if you are accompanied by your romantic partner, Tower Bridge is a perfect setting for a Gay Engagement Session in London, in wool we can see the River Thames from a very different angle, people passing by, boats and around there are many good places to watch the sunset, which was what we did with Steve and Dean.
After the photos we sat and talked about many things, about life, about loving what we do… Most of all, we feel very very very lucky to have been found by them.
