We photographed this Boho Wedding in Portugal, the day when João and Joana got together with family and friends to celebrate love, record and celebrate their legacy. In an intimate and welcoming party, in a place full of meaning for their history. They built it together with the amazing suppliers, the wedding from scratch and it was so beautiful!
WHAT IS BOHO? | Roots and truth
Among the various definitions we can give. Boho makes reference to the Bohemian style, a search for the pure and a connection with nature.
It has to do with connecting to the roots, keeping the alternative bias very present.
That’s what we saw at the Wedding of João and Joana, at all times we were connected with nature, whether feeling the sun or the shadow of the trees, touching the raw earth at all times and in the presence of countless trees in full fruit production: apples greens and reds, pears, figs, pomegranates, plums, among others.
And roots? The wedding was at João’s grandparents’ house. As soon as we arrived, João told us the whole story of that house and how the street was named after his grandmother.

The sun went down, until the time came when we didn’t have any natural light. But if we looked at it from a distance, we would notice that the Wedding was still glowing, with the small lights mounted by hand by the groom and provided by Led Design, it was beautiful and with a very welcoming air.
The wedding still glowed with people’s smiles, João and Joana’s love and shared joy.

We had the great honor of working with Rute, from Romã Eventos, who built the project of this dream from scratch, coordinated the day in a very delicate and light way and created a unique decoration, bringing all the personality of the couple and delighting all the guests (we included). Besides, although we are wearing masks, we feel your smile from beginning to end.
He set up the team for the day and made it happen.
